Conclusion
Everything we believe centers on critical events that have to be true for our understanding of our lives to be right. Our birthday, the history of our country, our parents’ lives… we need to know these.
Lesson Summary: If one fact is wrong, things become a mess.
Upward: The Good News has its “critical event,” too – the resurrection of Jesus.
Back: We have the records of a lot of people who have told us about this. If their testimony is true, it changes our world forever. It will change you.
Memory Verses
1) Acts 2:24 – God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.
2) Matthew 28:20 – And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
3) Hebrews 13:5-6,8 – “I will never leave you nor forsake you.“ So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me“… Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
4) Luke 24:50-51 – … and lifting up his hands he blessed them. While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
5) Hebrews 7:25 – … he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
6) Hebrews 9:28 – … so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.
7) John 20:30-31 – Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
PRAYER:
God of our Universe, we don’t want to live in a cloud of doubt and dismay. We want the real thing. We want to know the reality of our world.
Who are you? What are you like? Because if you are like Jesus, you are incredible…
